A Federação de Saint Kitts and Nevis situa-se nas ilhas de
Barlavento das Caraíbas é o mais pequeno Estado do ocidente com apenas 55.000
habitantes, as ilhas foram descobertas em 1493 por Cristóvão Colombo, sendo já
anteriormente habitadas durante pelo menos 500 anos.
Em 1538 tornou-se uma possessão francesa assim continuando
até 1623 quando passou para a soberania inglesa, conquistando a independência
em 1983.
Como atracções turísticas temos o Brimstone Hill Fortress, Mont
Liamiuga and Black Rocks, a scenic railway, uma floresta tropical, petroglifos
e a capital Basseterre em estilo francês.
