soul mayhem

life is full of injustices
like if it had been a mere roulette
placed in a casino adulterated by those who created it,
just a puzzle of imperfect pieces

I walked through savannahs full of tropical rain,
challenging the fury of oceans realm of thousand mysteries,
ascended to the top of the mightiest mountains,
but I never quite came out of Plato's cave

dragging shackles of conformism through the dunes of the desert
an unexpected crossroad of life awakened me to the color and to the light
as if all the myths narrated by Homer became reality
in a world of enameled jewelry, perfumed with lavender and strawberry

fortune once again struck a pact with malevolent gods
imprisoning me into darkness of the depths
facing regiments of demons and trolls in sight of the treasure chest
guarded by the silence of a muse, that cuts like a blade tearing me apart
